Homemade Dynamic Completo recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 completo buns
  • 4 sausages
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 avocados
  • Sauerkraut
  • American sauce
  • Green sauce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. In a medium pot, place the sausages and cover with boiling water. Cook over medium-high heat for about 4 to 6 minutes until done, making sure they don’t burst. Remove from water and set aside.
  2. Peel the avocados and place them on a plate, add a pinch of salt, a squirt of lemon, and mash with a fork until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Wash and peel the tomatoes, chop them into cubes, and place them on a deep plate. Add a drizzle of oil, a pinch of salt, and stir everything to combine. Set aside.
  4. Using a sharp knife, cut the buns along the top lengthwise, ensuring they don’t fall apart, and warm them in a toaster or preheated oven.
  5. Place the sausages in the buns without opening them too much, add a layer of chopped tomato, sauerkraut to taste, American sauce to taste, a layer of avocado, optionally some green sauce, and finally a layer of mayonnaise.
  6. Serve the dynamic completos immediately, plain or dressed with some mustard and ketchup, accompanied by a good coffee or a refreshing drink.

Tips for preparing a Dynamic Completo

The key to a perfect dynamic completo lies in the quality of the ingredients used: ripe and creamy avocado, fresh and firm tomato, homemade mayonnaise, and high-quality sausages that you could even grill.

Since 2009, every May 25th has been celebrated as “Completo Day,” originally as a promotional event for the opening of a new Domino’s chain location on Agustinas, but it has since evolved into an annual gastronomic event.
